Reason why We like Drama class

One day, Kelly said that there is a show called 'Jerry Springer' in America.  The 'Jerry Springer' show is a comedy TV program where two people meet and fight in a studio.  We imitated the 'Jerry Springer' show.  Each student performed one character.

Won Kyung was a student who wants to be a model, so she left school without her parent's knowing.  Byeong Oh and Hee Yeon were her parents.  They thought the opposite of Won Kyung.  In Suk was her boyfriend.  He loved her but Won Kyung must break up with him for her dream.  I and Ho Young were models. I was a once famous model and Ho Young was a famous model in the present.  I had a tough past because the life of a model is so tiring and stressful, so I didn't recommend her to be a model, but Ho Young strongly it.  Da Hye was a model agent manager.  Hae In was Won Kyung's school teacher.  She asked her to keep studying.  She claimed that after schooling Won Kyung could be a model.  Hyun Ho, Jin Kyung, and Yu Ra were guests.

We didn't have scripts, but depended on only Kelly's hints.  We acted out our 'Jerry show'.  Students did various characters nicely.  We acted in our own characters.  We had an exciting time!

We divided into two groups and made a script. One group’s play title was "Bank Robbery" and the other group was "Bling Bling Cosmetic Ad".  In short, the "Bank robbery" story is that one robber appears at the bank and takes all the money in the safe.  At that moment, one banker turns to another robber and they work together.  A police officer comes into the bank, but he is so scared and timid, so he can do nothing. Another police appears and catches one robber and then suddenly a customer turns into a HERO and catches the other rubber. When the police arrest the robbers, the hero packs the all money and disappears. After 2 years the hero and robbers meet and share the money equally.
The "Bling Bling Cosmetic Ad" story is that there was one couple whose emotions get cold. One day, the woman heard that man talk to his friend. The chat content was about him getting bored with her and she is getting ugly. After she heard it she broke up with him and tries to be more beautiful. She uses Bling Bling Cosmetic and she becomes beautiful. When the man meets the woman, he regrets what he said before. Also, he buys the Bling Bling Cosmetic and uses it. When he uses the item and walks down the street, many women pay attention to him and he recovers his confidence. Our script was interesting and when we showed it to the other class they loved it and gave a big hand to our class.

The 4th day in a drama class, we had an alibi activity with classmates. This activity is composed of 2 people (who are alibis) and 10 people who are interrogators. Jae Wok and I are suspects stealing diamonds and we made an alibi about what we had before we caught.

-This is our alibi-

12:00 p.m.:  We met in front of the "Areomgwan" 12:10 p.m / we arrived at "The center of library"12:10 ~ 1:00 p.m / we studied on different floors. I studied at the 4th floor, and he is at the 1st floor.1:00 ~ 2:00 p.m / we ate the lunch and my choice is "Soybean stew" and his choice is "Kimchi stew"2:00~2:30 p.m / we went to "Wongjikwan" to drink coffee..... like this..After we make this, other people (interrogator) asked separately. Five people asked me, and others asked Jae-uk. I was too nervous when they questioned me. Before interrogators asked me, I was satisfied with my alibi; it was perfect to trick others. But it's just only my thoughts......O.M.G. My classmates asked about ‘my relationship with Jae-uk" but, we didn't make an alibi for it! So I'm really getting nervous...... Before I asked them, Jae-uk said to them that we are a couple. And then others if you are coupled with jae-uk, when is the last day did you kissed him? So, I asked 'last night!' B.U.T!!!!! Jae-uk said to them 'we've never kissed yet. Finally our alibi is broken and me and jae-uk's crimes are revealed to all of them. Even if we weren’t successful at making a perfect ALIBI, it was a great time to talk about many things that I couldn’t expect!!!

Gachon Global Leader Camp has various classes.  We will only talk about one among many good classes.
I would like introduce our Presentation Class.  Last week, I took Presentation class with Terri.  Terri is so lovely!! She usually says, "Super-Awesome!!!!!" It makes me feel excited and energetic.

I learned presentation skills from her, although it was a little difficult to prepare, it was a good experience for me.  I had to make a PowerPoint presentation on the computer by the next presentation class and practice presenting fluently.  I didn’t do well in my individual presentation but I presented more carefully the second time in our team presentation.  In class, I learned how I should present and prepare surveys on topics.  Presentation skills are so important not only for being a global leader, but also for being successful in society.

Salsa Class

We’re going to tell you about salsa dance class.  As you know, in salsa dance class we had the chance to learn salsa dance. In this class we had the chance to get to know each other (our classmates) well!  REMEMBER this!!!  Because if your dance partner is a guy or lady, it will be a chance for all you singles!!!! :D Everything depends on you!! HAHAHA!!!  It will be a CRAZY TIME for you!!!!

 Our Salsa dance teachers were Sam and Vicky. Sam and Vicky are passionate. When they are dancing salsa, I feel their passion. Many people think Salsa dance is too difficult. I did, too! But if you are worried about dancing, don't worry! Sam and Vicky are good teachers. They taught the dance moves step by step, so you can learn easily. Just enjoy the salsa dance!!!!


If you never experienced it, now is your chance.  Don't be afraid. I never danced before, but I have confidence now. We were usually sleepy after lunch, but salsa woke up my heart and body.  At first, Sam and Vicky taught us many steps. I felt confused.  I couldn't remember it and I made many mistakes.  Even if we don't dance well, it is interesting and it brings me passion.  Sam and Vicky gave us the presents of passion and challenge.  You are never the worse for a single failure. Try again and again. Remember!

Music Class

 We Love Music :-) 


We (Jin myung, Sa rang, In seop) took Vicky's music class, so we learned about music (genre, lyrics and stories, etc...)  It was a very exciting class because we love music.  We didn’t know about music well. We just like to listen to songs.  But we could learn about various music genres and each genre’s meaning.  It was a new experience for us.  :)


On the last day of class, we presented our favorite songs.  When we prepared for our presentation, we felt it was fun, exciting, and enjoyable, so we like music more.  :-)  We had to choose 4 things for performance (Music, Debate, Drama, Presentation) so we decided to make a music video for our performance.  Our team's music video is from Grease.  We will do our best because of we loves music so much ^-^!

Movie Night

Let’s talk about a funny movie.

Last Sunday, we watched a funny movie in auditorium.  At first, I thought that this movie is a film for lowbrows, but it was unpredictable because it became gradually fascinating.  As it turned out, the main character was Eddie Murphy. He is a very famous actor.  We will briefly explain the movie.


In an African kingdom, there is a King named Jaffe Joffer and his son, Prince Akeem.  When the prince became twenty one, he meets the woman who his parents decided he will marry, but he is very disappointed that she doesn't have even one of her own opinions because she was trained as a queen. He leaves to America with his chamberlain Semmi to find his mate.  In New York, he chooses a lower-class life to find a woman who loves him for who he is.  He meets Lisa who has her own viewpoints.  Akeem has a good feeling about her, so he takes a job at the hamburger store which Lisa's father owns and he starts to plan a strategy. Although she likes him, she rejected his proposal when she knew that he was a rich prince. Finally they got married.


This film's genre is comedy, and everyone can enjoy it easily. Prince Akeem looks for a modern woman to marry because he doesn't want an obedient woman.  I was very impressed by him because many Korean men want a conservative woman to marry. I like his open mind. This story is based on liberties. Akeem just wants a bride who is clever and independent. He hides his position so that the woman loves him without any bias. He works at a fast-food restaurant because he found out the woman’s father owns it. In spite of being a prince, he can take care of himself.  There is no paternalism in the movie.  I strongly recommend it for people who are looking for an interesting movie.

Conversation Lounge

Conversation Game
We played "Conversation Game" with Darren and Patrick.

They gave us a piece of paper. On the paper was written one question. For example, "When you raise a son or daughter, what is the most important thing?" And we talked with partners. Then we exchanged our piece of paper. We changed partners continuously. We could think about many kinds of situations. Also, we improved our communication ability. The game is not boring. Never :-) !!

No gesture game

In this game people divide into 2 teams and 1 person explains a word then others guess the correct answer. But, no gestures! Only English! You can't say the forbidden word on the question card. If you say the right answer in 20 seconds, you get 2 points; in 30 seconds, you get 1 point.

If you can't give the correct answer, you get 0 points.ㅠㅠ Nathan and Terri were guiding us. They were so cute and funny! This game was a confrontation between our team and the other team, so it was very exciting and interesting! Finally, our team won because of me. (I was correcting a lot of answers, Ha ha!)
Experience Game

With Professor Alex and Kelly, all students among the whole class played a game that talked about our experiences in the past. First, we sat around the chairs in the class room and Prof. Alex asked us, "Have you ever gone to the D.M.Z.?" and told us that everyone had to sit except for people who have had the experience.

Second, the ones who weren’t sitting told us that story that they went through.

Third, after saying their story, the last man asked us the other question and then started over and repeated.

Finally, Experiencing the above three games, we can learn about the other countries’ games, so we were very excited and interested. Also, we can improve our speaking ability by meeting many students. I recommend that you don’t miss this chance.
